For Real was an exhibition curated by Nancy Murphy Spicer and presented at Spike Island Open Studios 2009. it brought together the work of 5 US and 5 UK artists all engaged in drawing. From liminal to emphatic means, these artists bring a physicality to the drawing process resulting in drawings that have materiality and a presence in the space.
