I started with a simple investigation of a single cardboard box and expanded from there using a large quantity of recycled cardboard of various sizes. Inspired by collections of objects found on the street and (documented in a series of photos entitled Sculptural Situations) as well as the activity in the factory building where my studio was located, I worked with the cardboard in a perfunctory and task-like manner that resulted in a series of 'sculptural situations' in my studio.
This work was presented in the gallery with a simple sling holding the cardboard overhead under which the viewer stood to watch the three-channel video of the actions performed in the studio.
