Day 5:
Got up to Saville Row later than I had hoped. As I made my way to the storefront - biking across town, stopping to get the key, walking my bike up the steep hill to storefront - I was aware of being open to noticing what was in my path and how it might influence what happened when I arrived.
I had been eyeing the contents of the storefront next door, various items that could be of use if they decided to toss them. There was activity in the storefront so I waved to ask about the objects. The new tenant was happy for me to take away the odd shelf.
In the course of it, he explained that he is a London art dealer specializing in Renaissance and Baroque art. His new Bath shop will show some very fine works.
He asked me about my shop and I explained my project. He came outside to view the space and my work in it. I took a few moments to describe my process. He seemed a bit perplexed and mildly curious.
Not a lot of activity today. Another layer of paint on the drawings on board I am making. With the two doors wide open, more people stopped by. A few asked to come in but my short-term lease doesn't allow it so I talked with them at the doorway.
