Wall of Women
Drawing Installation comprised of 8 drawings, acrylic on unstretched, gessoed canvas, 15' x 13' x 4', 2017

This work emerged after several months of making daily self-portraits in a small sketchbook. These were quick drawings done each morning as a way of practicing seeing. As the drawings accumulated, I wanted to see them at a larger scale and in relation to one another. This is the installation that resulted. This piece evolved during the most intense months of the burgeoning #metoo movement with daily news reports of the harassment and debasement of women. Arriving at my studio each morning to find these monumental images of women was a powerful antidote.
